How do you see yourself...

One article which I saw on facebook about job interviews states that it's irrational to ask your applicants this question,  "How do you see yourself 5 yrs from now?"  It says there that it's easy to create something in your mind the minute you're asked and there's no guarantee to the accomplishment of your answers.

It may be true, but here's my take on this:

The Bible tells us that we should focus on what's ahead and forget what's behind. I believe that I was designed by God thru my past. I have been molded by each problem, challenge and failure. And every victory in my Lord (oh yes, we're in to everything together!) accentuates the mold He is making in me. I know that my today sums it all. Thus whatever and however my mind works today, is a product of my past. The process I went through, and how I responded to it.

But this doesn't mean, my past defines me. Of course not. Neither is my assumed future, but on how I assume it. It is my today. It's how the ingredients of that past mixed together and was cooked in God's grace that defines my today. And how my mind works today will be expressed on how I see my future.

How I see myself 5 years from now depends on the hope I have in Jesus and the confidence I placed in Him, given everything we've been thru together. So, will I ask that question when I happen to interview again? Yes, I would. Logically, rationally and spiritually.

A Roll of Love

Have you taken for granted someone's help even presence in your life, just like a tissue roll? Have you appreciated the good things, the Lord did for you today, regardless of how unnoticeable?

Take time. It heals the soul to be thankful.  It helps us acknowledge His lordship; His being a Father; A Provider; A Comforter; A Healer; A King and A Best Friend.

Being appreciative encourages another person and strengthens relationships. You have nothing to lose. Just a simple, thank you... Or, this is what I love about you...
These phrases and praises will make a big difference.

Unroll, every ply represents one thanksgiving. Be surprised that you'll run out of tissues. Be overwhelmed with His love. Be thankful, it's an act of worship!

Salad-ing

When you think you have gained too much, lose some. But enjoy the process of losing. Thus, dinner at Juju Eats (www.jujueats.com) with my bff.

The food didn't fail us both. We loved the pasta-salad!  She tried the smoothie too, while I had Sola.
Surely, we will be back soon. And hopefully, salad-ing helps.

Finally Blogggiiinnggg

This may be a start of something, I hope.

My love for writing may not suit this type of thing but let's see.

I have been trying to be more specific about which to blog but ended up writing my journey instead.
Difficult to choose between my loves.

I hope this helps you see life in a balance. I seriously think, mine is. Happy blogging to me! :-)
